Mattresses are supposedly built to last around 7 to 10 years. We are of course talking about the more traditional mattresses out there. There are other types of mattresses out there that are foam-based for the most part, that promise to last a bit more. Whatever the case may be, it is a good idea to update your mattress when it reaches a certain age. The problem is what are you going to do with your old mattress? Mattresses take up a lot of room and after some time are actually not all that “safe” to be able to reuse. If your mattress has gotten to that point we can take it off your hands.

Moving a mattress can be difficult not only because of how heavy they can be but also because they tend to be tough to get a good grip on. Many people will just leave the mattress off to the side someplace because they can’t find the strength to move it anywhere else. Depending on the type of mattress we may find different ways to dispose of them. If we are talking about a mattress with metal springs for example we are going to usually want to break it up to see if we can’t recycle the metal parts. This is something that we try to do with anything that we pick up. If there is a chance that we can recycle some of the parts we are going to want to take a chance of getting that done. Instead of just sending everything to the local dump.
 
Signs That You Should Be Looking To Get Rid Of Your Mattress
We know that we are not experts in bed bugs, that being said we have seen a lot of mattresses over time that just don’t look the part. What we recommend is that you think about getting rid of your mattress when it has gone up there in age or when it’s just falling apart.
